![]() Mr. Mark Smith, Troy Campus Administrator
Mr. Smith earned his Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Studies from Cedarville University after starting his college career as a Math Major. He also holds a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Mr. Smith resides in Middlefield with his wife Melissa and children Micah, Gabriel, Eleana and Andrew. Mr. Smith joined Agape for the 2018-2019 school year.

![]() Mr. Southern earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Middle Childhood Education from Kent State University and previously served at Agape as a full-time Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Grade teacher as well as an Elementary and High School Physical Education Instructor. Mr. Southern has been a part of Agape’s teaching team on and off since 2005, the year the school opened. He currently serves as Pastor at Christ Covenant Church in Middlefield. Mr. Southern is husband to Mrs. Southern, Agape’s Second Grade Teacher. They reside in Hiram with their boys Elijah, Abram, Aaron and Caleb.

![]() Mrs. Jeni Najjar, Sixth Grade Teacher
Mrs. Najjar holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Kent State University after attending The Moody Bible Institute for two years. She earned her teaching certification for Kindergarten through Eighth Grade and taught Third Grade and Fourth Grade at Berkshire Elementary before staying home to raise her family. Mrs. Najjar resides in Huntsburg with her husband Rick and children Callie, Nathaniel and Cooper. She joined Agape for the 2016-2017 school year.

She holds a Teaching License in History Grades 7 thru 12. Mrs. Carr and her husband Mike reside in Sagamore Hills. She joined Agape for the 2011-2012 school year.

Middle/High School Science Teacher
Mrs. Detweiler holds a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from Grove City College. She served as a Research Assistant in the Department of Ophthalmology at Case Western Reserve University and also served as a High School Chemistry tutor. Mrs. Detweiler resides in Burton with her family and joined Agape for the 2021-2022 school year.

High School Math & Science Teacher
Mrs. Lain-Trost earned her Bachelor of Science with a double major in Mathematics Education and Pure Math from Trevecca Nazarene University in Tennessee. She holds a license for Sixth through Twelfth Grade Math and has field experience with Middle and High School students as a teacher, tutor and Camp Counselor. Mrs. Lain-Trost resides in Ravenna with her husband and joined Agape for the 2019-2020 school year.

![]() Miss Rupe holds a Bachelor of Science in Middle Level Science and Social Studies Education from Grove City College. Miss Rupe first joined Agape for the 2020-2021 school year before serving at Heart Light Ministries in Texas for the past year.

Mrs. Samsonas graduated from Bowling Green State University. Her major was teaching English to students in grades 7-12. Before joining Agape’s teaching staff, she taught English as a second language to students in inner city Cleveland. Mrs. Samsonas has two adult children who are both dedicated teachers. Mrs. Samsonas and her husband reside in Bainbridge and enjoy attending and serving at Parkside church. She joined Agape for the 2022-2023 school year.

Mr. Strano earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a counseling concentration from Cedarville University. He also served as a student academic advisor for the Psychology department. Mr. Strano resides in Middlefield with his family and joined Agape for 2022-2023 school year.

Mr. Westover holds a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministries. He serves as the pastor of North East Community Church in Burton Ohio. Mr. Westover resides in West Farmington with his wife April and their two sons. Mr. Westover joined Agape for the 2021-2022 school year.

Middle/High School Bible Teacher
Mr. Wilmot is a graduate of the Moody Bible Institute. He holds a Bachelors in Education with a Major in Bible. He also earned a Bachelors in Physics and a Bachelors in Religious Studies from Cleveland State University. He joined Agape as a Student Teacher in the Fall of 2014 before graduating and now teaches Bible. He resides in Claridon with his wife Kelly and their five children.

Mrs. Sarah Zajac MT-BC, NMT, High School English Teacher
Mrs. Zajac earned her Bachelor of Music Therapy from Baldwin-Wallace University. In 2017 she completed specialized recognition in Neurologic Music Therapy. As founder of her private practice, she has provided music therapy services throughout Northeast Ohio for fourteen years. Mr. and Mrs. Zajac reside in Middlefield with their four children Abigail, Michael Jr., Gideon, and Judah. She joined Agape for the 2022-2023 school year.

Mrs. Fry graduated from The Master’s University in Southern California with her Bachelor of Arts in Bible with a dual emphasis in Christian Education and Biblical Counseling. She and her husband live in Chagrin Falls with the youngest of their three children. Her two oldest are Agape alumni and attend college out of state. Mrs. Fry has a passion for God’s Word and loves serving in her local church facilitating women’s ministries. She joined Agape for the 2021-2022 school year.

Mrs. Geletka holds a degree in Education from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Masters in Reading from Kent State University. She specializes in students who process information differently or are on the Dyslexia spectrum and in the Barton Reading and Spelling Program. Mrs. Geletka joined Agape in 2005.

Mrs. Ellen Kinney, Art Teacher
Mrs. Kinney earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Photographic Communications from Rochester Institute of Technology. She also earned a Master of Fine Arts in Art Education from Case Western Reserve University and a teaching license in Visual Art PreK-12. Mrs. Kinney has taught art to children from preschool through high school in a variety of settings, which include public and private schools, a summer camp, an art center, a homeless shelter, and an art museum. She resides in Munson with her husband and their two boys and joined Agape for the 2021-2022 school year.

Mrs. Majetich holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Music Education from Oral Roberts University. During her career she taught music in a Christian school with more than 200 students, served as music director for churches, and served the Lord as a missionary. At Agape, Mrs. Majetich teaches music class and produces the school’s Elementary Christmas program and the end of the school year program’s Middle School and High School performances. She resides in Burton with her husband Bob. Mrs. Majetich has been with Agape since the 2005-2006 school year.

Mrs. Mencarini graduated from WVU earning a Bachelor of Science in English and Physical Education. After several years in secondary education, she decided that elementary education was where she belonged. She was able to experience teaching 3rd – 6th grade classes at Cedar Hill Christian School and Northfield Baptist Christian School for 13 years. She went on to be the Administrator at Northfield Baptist Christian School for 19 years after completion of Bob Jones Administrative courses. She joined the Agape team for the 2019-2020 school year. She is an active member of Liberty Valley Church in Northfield and is blessed with two adult children.

Mrs. Rengers earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Clarion in Pennsylvania with a concentration in English and has experience teaching in a public school in Texas, at Geauga Christian School and as a lead teacher at Redeemer Lutheran Church Preschool. She has been a home educator for her children for 24 years She and her husband reside in Chagrin Falls. Mrs. Rengers joined Agape for the 2018-2019 school year.

Mrs. Shesko earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Walden University majoring in Human Resource. She also holds an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Kent State. Mrs. Shesko resides in West Farmington with her husband Matt and her son Matthew. She joined Agape for the 2021-2022 school year.
