Mr. Mark Smith, Troy Campus Administrator
Mr. Smith earned his Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Studies from Cedarville University after starting his college career as a Math Major. He also holds a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Mr. Smith resides in Burton with his wife Melissa and children Micah, Gabriel, Eleana and Andrew. Mr. Smith joined Agape for the 2018-2019 school year.
Miss Kristie Mencarini, Fifth Grade Teacher
Miss Mencarini earned her Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education with a Minor in Bible and Health from Cedarville University and her Masters from Liberty University. She spent three years teaching in China and served in a camp and a Christian school in South Africa. For 12 years she served in a variety of teaching and coaching roles at Northfield Baptist Christian School. Miss Mencarini resides in Bedford and joined Agape for the 2017-2018 serving as Agape’s Elementary Phys Ed Teacher.
Mr. Mike Southern, Fifth Grade Teacher
Mr. Southern earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Middle Childhood Education from Kent State University and previously served at Agape as a full-time Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Grade teacher as well as an Elementary and High School Physical Education Instructor. Mr. Southern has been a part of Agape’s teaching team on and off since 2005, the year the school opened. He currently serves as Pastor at Christ Covenant Church in Middlefield. Mr. Southern is husband to Mrs. Southern, Agape’s Second Grade Teacher. They reside in Hiram with their boys Elijah, Abram, Aaron and Caleb.
Mrs. Jeni Najjar, Sixth Grade Teacher
Mrs. Najjar holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Kent State University after attending The Moody Bible Institute for two years. She earned her teaching certification for Kindergarten through Eighth Grade and taught Third Grade and Fourth Grade at Berkshire Elementary before staying home to raise her family. Mrs. Najjar resides in Huntsburg with her husband Rick and children Callie, Nathaniel and Cooper.  She joined Agape for the 2016-2017 school year.
Mrs. Mary Carr, Middle/High School Teacher

Mrs. Carr holds a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education and a Masters of Education in Reading and Literacy with a Reading Endorsement from Baldwin Wallace College. She holds a Teaching License in History Grades 7 thru 12. Mrs. Carr and her husband Mike reside in Sagamore Hills. She joined Agape for the 2011-2012 school year.

Mrs. Lorna Chavez,

Middle School Teacher & Spanish Teacher
Mrs. Chavez attended Grove City College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a Minor in Spanish. She holds a Grade 1 thru 8 teaching license, and Association of Christian Schools International Educator’s Certificate and a State of Ohio Non-tax Supported School Certificate. Mrs. Chavez brings 25 years of teaching experience to Agape all of which was at Warren Christian School where she taught Middle School Language Arts, Social Studies and Spanish, High School Spanish and Bible. Mrs. Chavez and her family reside in Southington. Mrs. Chavez has been with Agape since the 2010-2011 school year.

Mr. Dan Itschner, Middle/High School Guidance Counselor

Mr. Itschner holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Administration and Counseling from Kent State University. He brings over 30 years of educational experience with the Berkshire School District where he served as a teacher, principal and counselor. He also served at Geauga Christian School prior to his college graduation. Mr. Itschner and his wife Mim reside in Burton.  Mr. Itschner has been with Agape since the 2012-2013 school year.
Miss Esther Kershaw,
High School English & Speech Teacher
Miss Kershaw earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and Secondary
Education with a minor in English as a Second Language from Calvin College in Michigan. She holds her teaching certification in English and ESL for Sixth through Twelfth Grade. She has field experience in High School English and also taught ESL in a refugee education center and served as a peer coach and tutor at Calvin College.  Miss Kershaw resides in Chesterland and joined Agape for the 2019-2020 school year.
Miss Hannah Lain,
High School Math & Science Teacher
Miss Lain earned her Bachelor of Science with a double major in Mathematics Education and Pure Math from Trevecca Nazarene University in Tennessee. She holds a license for Sixth through Twelfth Grade Math and has field experience with Middle and High School students as a teacher, tutor and Camp Counselor.  Miss Lain resides in Kent and joined Agape for the 2019-2020 school year.
Miss Brenna Rupe,
High School  Science Teacher
Miss Rupe earned her Bachelor of Science in Middle Level Science and Social Studies Education from Grove City College. Miss Rupe has served at summer camps working with elementary through high school age children. She was a member of the Varsity Cross Country and Track and Field teams at Grove City College and also participated in Fellowship of Christian Educators. Miss Rupe resides in Cortland and joined Agape for the 2020-2021 school year.
Mr. Kevin Wilmot,
Middle/High School Bible Teacher
Mr. Wilmot is a graduate of the Moody Bible Institute. He holds a Bachelors in Education with a Major in Bible.  He also earned a Bachelors in Physics and a Bachelors in Religious Studies from Cleveland State University. He joined Agape as a Student Teacher in the Fall of 2014 before graduating and now teaches Bible. He resides in Claridon with his wife Kelly and their four children.

Mrs. Lori Fuller, Art Teacher
Mrs. Fuller earned her degree in Art Education from Kent State University. Before teaching at Agape, she taught Middle School/High School Art at Cornerstone Christian Academy. She resides in Mesopotamia with her husband Bruce.  She joined Agape for the 2015-2016 school year.

Mrs. Esther Geletka, Intervention Specialist
Mrs. Geletka holds a degree in Education from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Masters in Reading from Kent State University. She specializes in students who process information differently or are on the Dyslexia spectrum and in the Barton Reading and Spelling Program. Mrs. Geletka joined Agape in 2005.  
Mrs. Bethany Majetich, Music Teacher
Mrs. Majetich holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Music Education from Oral Roberts University. During her career she taught music in a Christian school with more than 200 students, served as music director for churches, and served the Lord as a missionary. At Agape, Mrs. Majetich teaches music class and produces the school’s Elementary Christmas program and the end of the school year program’s Middle School and High School performances. She resides in Burton with her husband Bob. Mrs. Majetich has been with Agape since the 2005-2006 school year.  
Mrs. Terri Mencarini, Tutor
Mrs. Kate Nevar, Administrative Assistant
Mrs. Nevar earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from John Carroll University. Over the years she has served as Administrative Assistant to the Dean of the Boler School of Business at John Carroll and as Account Manager at C.H. Robinson, Inc. She joined Agape in the spring of 2017 and resides in Chardon with her husband Rod and four children Michael, Raquel, Eve and Sean. 
Mrs. Sharie Rengers, Tutor
Mrs. Rengers earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Clarion in Pennsylvania with a concentration in English and has experience teaching in a public school in Texas, at Geauga Christian School and as a lead teacher at Redeemer Lutheran Church Preschool. She has been a home educator for her children for 24 years She and her husband reside in Chagrin Falls. Mrs. Rengers joined Agape for the 2018-2019 school year.
